WEEKLY WORD
Hope you all have found your snazziest red, white and blue duds and are getting ready to show them off on July 4. I'm sure that your sparklers are waiting to be lit while you gaze into the sky for the closest fireworks display or trailing shooting star.  Hard to believe it's 1/2 way through the summer...well, not really, but remember as a kid that once 4th of July came, the summer just seemed to fly by? So make the best of it!  Run in the humid morning air and celebrate under clear,  starry skies for soon we'll be trying to figure out just where the summer disappeared to and will be packing our bags for Richmond.

Before we get started, just a quick shout about the Marshfield Relay last weekend.  What a day was had by all.  Pictures will be posted on the web very soon.  While it's hard to report on the very narrow victory by the Colonial Road Runners A team over the Wamps, your Wamp/Betty team beat last year's time by over 3 minutes and collectively ran their hearts out.  What determination and all-out-effort was portrayed by 26 of your fellow Wamps.  Everyone gave it their all and left absolutely nothing in the tank.  Congratulations to all runners and many thanks to all who came out to cheer the team on.  Captain Morris did an amazing job, holding the team together through thick and thin and president PWOTY's never-say-die tenacity was evident up until the very last yard of the relay.  What a Club, what a club effort....I was proud to be a part of this great team of Wamps and Bettys. Take a look at the results and know that your team put up an incredibly strong, fair fight!  It was awesome to look over and see the massive amount of Wamps and Bettys donning the new Wamp Wear screaming and yelling for each Wamp/Betty as they flew by!  No one could mistake who we were! Happy Birthday Captain Peg Leg!
