from Paula.....In brief, I'm planning a very informal celebratory run/walk on May 10 at 9:00 a.m. (rain or shine) in Foxboro to which I am inviting everyone. I'm also using it as a chance to encourage people to increase their physical activity for the sake of their heart. Men, women, teenagers, and children accompanied by an adult are welcome. If you have not been actively walking or running, please consider using this event as an excuse to get back out there. If you can't make it that day, think about going out on another day and walking a few miles. If you're already active, consider finding a running/walking partner who could use some encouragement and companionship.
There's no entry fee, no t-shirt, no water stops, no age groups, no prizes, no pressure.
Hope to see you there! Paula Bishop

DO THE MUSCO
Tired of those flat and fast 5K's? For a real challenge in a short road race (8K is 4.97 miles) try the Jerry Musco 8K Run / 2 Mile Walk through the Kirkbrae neighborhood in Lincoln June 8. I'll guaranty you'll be better able to identify with the struggles faced daily by the clients of Project Learn and the fight for literacy, as well as the 7 previous Jerry Musco Scholarship recipients as they have strived to improve themselves. Jerry, known never to avoid a challenge, would have loved this course that has been described (by course designer Jacques Benun) as the roller coaster of RI. Good luck.
